2015 Highlights

Weddings

We have been pleased to undertake 40 weddings so far this year.
Flower choices have been so varied, the ‘Vintage Theme’ being a favourite. We have used lots of gypsophelia, jam jars and herbs!

A large wedding at Beaulieu Abbey and The Domus was the highlight of our summer. Using hydrangeas, peonies, David Austin roses and orchids, they  were a dream to work with.

Our next exciting wedding is at Bucklers Hard on Halloween and gives us an opportunity to design arrangements using pumpkins, lanterns, twisted willow and an array of orange and lime green flowers. We can’t wait to let our creative juices flow!

The Boat Show Southampton

We were thrilled to be asked to provide flowers for Walcon Marine again this year.
Our designs had to last a whole week during the heat of the summer, so a tropical theme fitted the bill perfectly. We look forward to providing flowers for the London Boat Show in January.

Salisbury Cathedral Magna Flora Flower Festival

Andrea was privileged to be invited by Angela Turner to help arrange flowers at Salisbury Cathedral’s Flower Festival to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta.

Design experts, Michael Bowyer MBE, Pam Lewis and Angela Turner led a great team of NAFAS flower arrangers from across the Diocese of Salisbury to create stunning designs. To be involved in such an event was inspirational!

Fluerex 2015

Andrea spent the weekend at the British Floristry Association FleurEx Event. Attending workshops, updating skills and finding out what’s new in the world of floristry and watching demonstrations by some of the world’s leading floral designers.

The highlight for her was the demonstration by Royal florist Simon Lycett.

Watch out customers, new designs on the way!
